In the following sections, we will guide you through the seamless process of sending and receiving faxes using our E-Fax service, also known as Virtual Fax.
Sending an Outbound Fax:
1. Compose a new email.
2. In the "To" field, enter: `1<fax number>(a)fax.net2phone.com`.
3. Then simply send the email.
Cover Page and Attachments:
- The email body can serve as the cover page for your fax.
- Attachments can include PDF, XLS, DOC, or any standard image file.
Standalone Fax Option:
If preferred, the email body alone can be used as a standalone fax.
Receiving Faxes:
Any fax sent to your designated fax number, whether originating from a traditional fax machine or an eFax service, will be delivered to your inbox as a regular email. The email will include detailed fax information and a timestamp indicating when the fax was received.
Email Address Configuration:
Your email address for fax service can be either a single-user email or a group alias/distribution list configured with your email provider.

Ensure that the email is sent from the email address registered with net2phone. Both sending and receiving faxes will only work from an email address assigned to a specific fax number. For assistance in assigning an email address to a fax number, please refer to this guide
