Empire Telecom · EmpireUC Teams Connect
EmpireUC operates an Active/Active Geo Redundant Infrastructure to best meet the needs of our Partners and your Customers.
Below are the addresses and related IPs for different segments of the network.
We recommend always using auto provisioning. If manually configuring a device, use its SRV feature to benefit from the best available redundancy methods.
We also suggest that you avoid using a specific DNS A record or direct IP when manually configuring a device.
IMPORTANT: If using this list to whitelist IPs on your local router or firewall, please whitelist all IPs. Otherwise, you may experience a service interruption during maintenance or a failover event.
| Network Segment | Address | DNS A Record Resolution IP | SRV Record Resolution IPs |
|---|---|---|---|
| SBC GLOBAL — SIP Trunking, T.38 IP Fax, Legacy Hosted PBX | sbc.simplelogin.net | 192.92.8.30 — Primary; 64.52.82.30 — Secondary | 192.92.8.30; 64.52.82.30 |
| PBX EAST — Hosted PBX, Hosted Call Center | pbx1-mia.simplelogin.net; pbx2-mia.simplelogin.net | 192.92.8.71 | All PBX IPs in varying order based on network needs |
| PBX CENTRAL — Hosted PBX, Hosted Call Center | pbx2-dfw.simplelogin.net | 64.52.82.25 | All PBX IPs in varying order based on network needs |
| PBX WEST — Hosted PBX, Hosted Call Center | pbx1-sjc.simplelogin.net | 64.52.83.20 | All PBX IPs in varying order based on network needs |
The addresses above use the white label domain simplelogin.net.
Note: You may create your own CNAME records using your own domain and point them to the applicable hostnames above. Never point your own DNS name directly to an EmpireUC IP address, as this bypasses DNS-based redundancy.
EmpireUC operates Media Servers that use the same IPs as the SIP Servers.
Note: In rare cases where customer equipment is not behind NAT and/or the media server has been forcefully turned off, media may arrive directly from the DID or Termination carrier. Those IPs change frequently and are not documented. Please contact support if you need assistance creating a firewall whitelist for this situation.
EmpireUC operates transparent proxies and does not perform transcoding. This ensures your media does not suffer quality degradation from the transcoding process. Offered codecs are negotiated by the SIP Server, and a matching preferred codec is used.
G.711U (PCMU)*
G.711A (PCMA)
G.722
G.729*
*Note: These codecs should always be enabled to guarantee call completion.
H.263
H.264
RFC2833 should always be the preferred DTMF method.
EmpireUC supports IP Faxing via T.38 and G.711 fallback.
T.38 faxing is supported on most DIDs and Termination carriers and is initiated via a T.38 re-INVITE.
