Net2phone how to add a user

In the guide below, you will find instructions on how to add a team member (User/Extension) to your Net2phone phone system through the Net2phone admin portal.

Step one would be to login to the online platform by clicking the following link net2phone Portal Login for instructions on how to login for the first time please see this article. How to login to the net2phone portal 

1. Click on Company

2. Click on ADD TEAM MEMBER

If the "ADD TEAM MEMBER" button appears grayed out, please contact sales@empiretelecomnj.com to request a quote.

3. Add the First Name, Last Name, and Email Address.

The provided email address will serve the purposes of receiving voicemail-to-email notifications and facilitating authentication for online or mobile app logins. You may choose to enter a dummy email if the above are not applicable to this user.

4. Click on the Phone Number drop-down and assign a number.

Adding a phone number and assigning the correct address are mandatory for each user and are pivotal for safety. These details are used for E911 purposes, so if an emergency call is made from this user, the address provided will be the one that emergency responders have on record.

5. Choose whether this user should be a standard user or an admin

Standard users will have access to their personal user information only, including call metrics and records, voicemails, and call forwarding settings. Meanwhile, admin users will enjoy full access to the account and can make changes to all aspects except for billing-related matters.

6. Click on ADD TEAM MEMBER
