Mitel 6900: Hold, transfer and conference a call

Put a caller on hold, pass a call to someone else, or bring a third person into the call on a Mitel 6900-series phone.

Hold

1	During a call, press the Hold key. The hold icon flashes on the line key.
2	To go back to the caller, press Hold again or press the flashing line key.

1	During the call, press the Xfer softkey. The caller goes on hold.
2	Dial the number or extension you want to send the call to.
3	Press Xfer again (on the 6920 the softkey may read Transfer).

1	During a call, press the Conf softkey. The caller goes on hold.
2	Dial the third person and press Dial.
3	When they answer, press Conf again. All three of you are now on the call.

Note: on the 6940 you tap the softkeys on the touch screen.
