TV Completely Down Troubleshooting Checklist
When all TVs in your facility are completely down (no picture, not even a blurry image), follow this troubleshooting guide:
1. Check for Nonpayment
• A very common reason for a complete TV outage is nonpayment of the account.
• Steps to Check:
1. Call DIRECTV at: 1-800-388-2505
2. Provide your account number when prompted.
3. Confirm with DirecTV if your account is active and in good standing.
• Note: This process is typically quick, with minimal hold time.
2. Check Your Centralized TV System
• Ensure your centralized TV system is powered on and functioning correctly.
• Steps to Verify:
1. Locate the centralized TV system (e.g., server or control box).
2. Check for any visible signs of power or error (lights, alerts, etc.).
3. If powered off, attempt to power it on.
4. Look for any loose cables or disconnected components.
